Some shine like a beacon, offering a feeling of connection, a whispered half-heard promise that builds to an imagined invitation. The light burns bright. Those who must hear... will hear. Those who must see... will see. Those who seek... will absorb the light and feel its effects. The beacon burns brighter, strengthening the illusion, and just as the dream seems to solidify and become real, the beacon turns away... and leaves silence and shadow. Shining, always shining, calling into the darkness. More will hear. More will feel something stir inside them.
